It is important that responsible, inclusive sex ed is accessible to everyone, a lack of resources shouldn’t stand in the way of excellent training AND RISE has to meet its costs as well.
Fair market value for this 2-day training is $250 per participant.
If your organization can pay for some or all of the cost of your training, we welcome that and can provide an invoice—just request that by emailing cindi@riseHFL.org.
If you or your organization cannot cover some or all of your training costs, we understand—we sometimes are in the same situation. Please sign up anyhow.

This training will enable facilitators to provide Stellar Sex Ed to high-school youth and adults AND to "stellarize" other curricula, so it is more affirming and trauma-informed while adhering to local and state restrictions.
Facilitator training will cover curriculum content as well as facilitation best practices and tips for making any sex ed more accessible to all neurotypes. Electronic access to the curriculum is included for trainees who complete the course successfully.

Stellar Sex Ed engages participants in an expansive exploration of their inner and outer space. It fundamentally changes the way we facilitate sexuality education. Free of judgment, Stellar Sex Ed dismantles stigma and invites honest, compassionate curiosity about bodies, identities, and relationships.
This facilitator training will share how and why the curriculum developed, as well as strategies for guiding a well-rounded exploration of whole people, especially when cultural norms might challenge scientific and psychological reality.
Stellar Sex Ed is intentionally trauma-informed, antioppressive, and accessible to people with various learning styles and abilities. In addition, Stellar Sex Ed facilitator training can help facilitators of any curriculum, even in strictly regulated Tennessee public schools, create a more trauma-informed, inclusive experience for students.
RISE recommends at least two facilitators work together on any workshop or class, so if your organization is considering sending one facilitator trainee, please consider sending two or collaborating with another organization. Let us know at RISE if you might need cofacilitators—we love collaborating!
